Visitors at The Crunkleton can choose from a selection of over 300 distilled spirits, many mixed with the same techniques and ingredients as when they were first popularized. For beer lovers, The Crunkleton offers 12 various styled beers on draft and a solid selection of bottled beers. Our wine choices include pours by the glass and bottle.
In keeping with the classic menu, our atmosphere also recalls a bygone era. Mission-style furniture, warm amber lighting, and a friendly staff welcome visitors while the sounds of Chapel Hill's Franklin Street filter in through the open-air oak windows. A 1908 Brunswick Old Mission B regulation pool table adds great warmth and a sense of time past. An old Wurlitzer jukebox sits nearby and plays a variety of tunes to keep the place jumping. Free wireless Internet roams the space for those interested in savoring a cocktail while working.
Our staff is well versed in the techniques and quality ingredients used decades ago and apply them to creating the libations of the present and future. These vintage cocktails capture our enthusiasm and passion for mixing drinks, creating a pleasurable visit for the drink enthusiast. We aim to be the standard for drink knowledge and mixing in Chapel Hill.
The Crunkleton has been featured in Garden & Gun, Chapel Hill Magazine, The News & Observer, The Daily Tar Heel, and several other publications.
